But here goes anyway.

This simple drink will aid you to shed pounds and keep them off, repair your gut and provide a lot of antioxidants (keeping you in peak health).  This drink is fantastic for type 2 diabetics to regulate blood glucose as well as people with high blood pressure. So what is it?

Ginger root, turmeric/black pepper with lemon and honey.

Here is how to make it. First peel your ginger then...

1). Squeeze 5-7 fresh lemons into a pitcher.
2). Grate your ginger (about the size of your hand) into the pitcher.
3). Add fresh turmeric/black pepper powder (about a tablespoon)

Kohlrabi Is So Loaded With Health Benefits It Might Shock You!

This root vegetable is getting noticed for its health benefits as well as a great tasty addition to any salad.  

I just ate some that we are growing and was surprised how much it tastes like a mild radish.  Crunchy when ate raw and when I looked up the health benefits after dinner I was blown away with all the nutrients this unknown vegetable is providing our bodies.

It is a very odd looking vegetable so it doesn't surprise me not to see it in most grocery stores.  Things that look unfamiliar don't sell very well. You can eat the leaves but I believe they need to be cooked.  I just eat the white bulb raw, cut up in small chunks.

Kohlrabi is a member of the champion cancer-fighting family of cruciferous vegetables. Components of cruciferous vegetables have shown their ability to stop the growth of cancer cells, including tumors of the breast, endometrium, lung, colon, liver, colon and cervix.

Like other fruits and vegetables, kohlrabi contains high amounts of water and fiber, which can enhance satiety, reduce energy intake and, consequently, decrease body weight. Since obesity is one of the main risk factors for type 2 diabetes, by preventing obesity through a healthy diet including vegetables like kohlrabi, you can directly decrease your likelihood of developing diabetes.

A study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition investigated the effects of low, medium and high intakes of vegetables and fruit on markers of immune functions, including nonspecific markers of inflammation. The study found that a high intake of carotenoid-rich fruit and vegetables, including kohlrabi, reduces plasma C-reactive protein. "Organic" or B.S.?

I am about to vent about words that have lost their true meaning!  Like the word "Organic".

Once held in the highest esteem, the word "Organic" has been trashed by our government issuing licenses to farms wanting to practice organic farming.  But this word means nothing today because the government forces farmers to use pesticides in order to put the word "Organic" on their labels.

No doubt, the corporations who hold control over our politicians (like Monsanto and Bayer) make sure that their policies are put into place so the USDA must follow their rules (if they want to be re-elected).


How pesticides could ever be considered "Organic" is a complete sham!  It should be a criminal offense and people who put these rules into practice should be forced to eat mouthfuls of these pesticides as well as drink the water polluted be these harmful chemicals.

Our country is being ruled by greedy people who only care about fattening their wallets at the expense of peoples health and wellness. 

I for one will never apply for an "Organic Farm" license.  I hope Americans realize what is happening to their food and start small farms that never use chemicals to grow their food.

How I Beat Diabetes And You Can Too!

Those who know me know I have traveled a long bumpy and painful road to recover from a stroke that nearly ended my life.  It has been almost 2 years since that awful day and I wanted to let you know what worked and what didn't work for me to be healthy and 100% MED FREE!



That's right, med free and I no longer see a doctor for checkups and blood tests.

So, what did I do to get rid of the prescriptions and confident enough not to see doctors regularly?

You see, for the first year after the stroke, I did what the doctors told me to do.  They had me on so many pills and the pills were causing even more problems.  (That is the problem with drugs, the side effects can be just as bad as what the problem is, to begin with.)  I had my doctor change my drugs for high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes often because the side effects were horrible.

One day, I was so fed up with the drugs, I asked my doctor if I stuck to a diet of just vegetables and got plenty of exercises could I reverse my type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. He said "NO!".  He said my condition was progressive and soon I would have to inject insulin every day.  I said, "You want to bet?".

That is the day I decided to do as much research as possible, to discover what foods, herbs, and plants were best to treat type 2 diabetes.  What I discovered is only the tip of the iceberg. I'm sure there is more to discover, but this is what I know as of now.

From the plants I eat now, I have lost more than 100 lbs., got my blood pressure corrected, gotten rid of high cholesterol, cleared up a skin condition and have other issues back to normal...  I used to have neuropathy in my feet and legs and would wake up from the pains shooting through. No more pain these days!

In other words, I have transformed my body into a healthier condition than it has been since I was in my 20's.  I still have a ways to go but I feel and look a lot better than 2 years ago.

Now don't get me wrong.  I'm am not putting doctors down.  They do what they are trained to do.  Most are very good at what they do (for the most part) and that's keeping you alive.  But they aren't the end all to getting diseases cured and treating the root cause as to why people have diabetes.  (Most doctors and people think it is from eating too much sugar.  That is another discussion for another day but you would be surprised what really is the cause in most cases.)  Doctors treat the immediate symptoms with drugs.  And drugs are not the solution to getting rid of the problem.  Drugs are a temporary fix ONLY!... making you a regular customer dependent on doctors to stay alive and not to suffer strokes, heart attacks or worse.

And to prove my point, why have doctors been prescribing opiates for years to control pain thinking these drugs were not addictive.  Why would they put their trust in a drug company? Now this country has the highest amount of heroin users than ever before because of this practice.  Thousands have also died from these prescriptions as well. So don't believe what your doctors tell you because they are not the end all to knowing everything just like I am not either.  Always question what people tell you and do your own research!!!

So here are my top plants that I use and you should try them as well.  What do you have to lose???... your prescription medications!

1.  My number one go-to plant is Moringa.  I have been using this now for almost 1 year and have taken more and more of it daily to achieve my health goals. I consume on average 35 pills a day now.  I don't recommend anyone else taking that amount to start with.  If you have an illness like diabetes then start with 3-4 pills in the morning and 3-4 pills at night.  Make sure your pills are 100% MORINGA and not cut with something else.  Each pill should be around 500 mg.  Below is what moringa leaves look like.




2.  Curry leaves.  I consume curry leaves every day now.  Eaten raw on an empty stomach will keep blood sugars under control.  I also cook with the leaves and put about 10-15 leaves in my scrambled eggs every morning.  I like the taste and aroma.  I rough chop the leaves before sauteing them with onions and a spicy sliced pepper.  

Don't confuse curry leaves with curry sauces.  Curry leaves are not used to make curry sauces.  Below is what curry leaves look like.
These are my meds right now.  I will be adding turmeric and ginger in the future.  But for now, this is all I take and they have replaced my doctor and meds and just might do the same for you.

One more thing... Succulants That Can Get You Super Healthy

Succulents are easy to grow and most are beautiful to look at.  They make easy to care for houseplants especially for those who don't water their plants very often.  

But what I care about are plants that heal and are good to eat.  Here are some that fit the health test...



Purslane, also called Verdolaga, is a succulent edible weed.  It appears in late spring and is discarded and picked out of gardens as invasive weeds.  But those picking it and throwing it away are missing out of one of the healthiest weeds ever.  

Purslane is high in Omega 3 Fatty Acids!  This is rare in the plant community.  Normally thought of as something you could only get from fish, now you can get plenty of Omega 3 Fatty Acids from this remarkable, even tasty succulent. One more plant I grow on my farm and enjoy eating!

Dragon Fruit


These beautiful pink fruits come from a night-blooming cactus commonly known as the queen of the night. Their flavor is very mild.

Dragon fruit has a high level of vitamin C, minerals, and is involved in fighting free radicals and possessing antioxidant properties. Vitamins B1, B2, B3, as well as calcium, phosphorous, iron, protein, niacin, and fiber also contribute to improving the functioning of your immune system.

Optunia


It's a fruit, called “tuna” in Mexico, but commonly known as the prickly pear stateside.  They taste like a combination of bubblegum and watermelon.

Opuntia has flat, oval leaves that can be boiled or grilled and used in salads, soups, salsas, and tacos. The fruit can be peeled, sliced, and eaten raw or juiced.  My grandma used to make jam from the fruit.

The leaves are packed with fiber and calcium and just 23 calories per cup. The fruit is also low in calories and high in vitamin C.

I grow curry trees on my farm. The leaves I cook. I prepare the leaves by rough chopping about 15 leaves to put into my scrambled eggs. The leaves have a very strong aroma. The smell fills my entire house. Once cooked the taste is sweet. Eaten raw and they taste bitter.

Rafi (who I met while growing Moringa trees) gave me a small curry tree in exchange for Moringa trees. The picture above is my tree and since growing it, I have seen it grow rapidly in a mixture of compost and cow manure. I now have over 25 trees from just a few. They rapidly grow new trees from the parent tree.

Curry leaves are loaded with carbohydrates, fiber, calcium, phosphorous, iron and vitamins like vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin E. Curry leaves help your heart function better, fights infections and can regrow your hair and improve your skin with vitality.

While it is a common saying that curry leaves help hair re-growth, there are plenty of other changes that occur in the body when it's digested.

Curry leaves assist in digestion and fight anemia. That's because this herb is rich in folic acid and iron. However, other benefits of these miraculous leaves can be found when you eat it on an empty stomach.

Before you do anything in the morning, try eating 4-5 raw curry leaves if you want to fight diabetes. Turns out, curry leaves regulate blood sugars in diabetics.

You will also be healing various eye disorders like a cataract. It is known to improve vision as well.

While this herb is loaded with nutrients, excess consumption of it could produce some side-effects. It is known to cause nausea. So be careful not to take too much.

Ginger Offers Tons Of Health Benefits

Ginger is a root, (called rhizomes... closely related to turmeric).  On my farm, I grow moringa, turmeric, curry, and ginger as the main plants that I consume daily to achieve ultimate health and wellness.

Ginger is quite a beautiful plant but it is not the leaves or flowers we want to eat... it's the root.  As it grows it continues to grow new roots and leaves and since it grows so fast you can harvest it all season long.  Turmeric is harvested once a year.  Both will die off before winter and then you dig up everything you grew.

Now for the benefits:

Diabetics drink ginger water in the morning on an empty stomach, in order to keep their blood sugars normal.

Can stop a cough and relieve sore throats.  All you do is cut the ginger into slices and add them to boiling water. Then, add some honey and lemon. This amazing natural remedy can help you relieve a sore throat, coughing, and nasal congestion.

Ginger calms an upset stomach and prevents bloating and gas.  Boil some ginger slices in water, add honey and to consume the drink.

Boosts blood circulation.  Squeeze the juice of 50g grated ginger and add it in 4-5l hot water. Then, soak a cloth in the solution and apply it on the problematic body areas.

Treats acid reflux. The ingredients of this amazing root are six times more useful than any medications.

Toothache relief.  Due to its strong anti-inflammatory properties, ginger can also alleviate a toothache. All you should do is to rub some raw ginger on your gums. Also, you can boil it in water, cool the solution and then use it to rinse your mouth.

Are Plants The Answer To Ultimate Health?

"No Thanks, I Don't Eat Meat."

When I tell people I quit eating meat over a year ago, I always seem to get the following question... "how are you getting enough protein?"  "You HAVE to eat meat in order to get enough protein."  It's as if I'm going to collapse and die because plants that I eat will not provide enough protein.  THESE PEOPLE COULDN'T BE MORE WRONG!

These days people have been brain washed by the cattle industry to believe they have to eat meat to get their daily requirement of protein.  So the cattle industry (who make billions) can justified the slaughter of billions of cattle every year and make people comfortable (even feeling good) to eat that EXPENSIVE steak.

Moringa leaves are not only rich in protein (100g dry powder), but this protein source is also of high value to the human body. It contains all essential amino acids including those containing Sulphur (Cystein & Methionine). Moringa is far higher in protein than any other plant protein.

I also include eggs in my diet.  Guess what, I don't have to kill chickens to get protein... egg whites happen to be loaded with protein.
